PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a level of power generated by a fuel battery to be in a prescribed range without using a large amount of fuel and to provide a miniature inkjet printer at low cost. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer comprises a maintenance/output-recovery mechanism 30 constituted of an output-recovery mechanism for sucking fuel housed in a fuel cartridge 12 by means of a pump 32 via a fuel battery 10 and a fuel battery cap 14, and a maintenance mechanism for sucking ink housed in an ink cartridge 22 by means of the pump 32 via an inkjet head 20 and a head cap 24. The pump 32 is shared by the maintenance mechanism and the output-recovery mechanism. The coupling of the pump 32 with the fuel battery cap 14 and the coupling of the pump 32 with the head cap 24 is switched by a switching valve 36, and then each of the sucking of the fuel in the fuel cartridge 12 and the sucking of the ink in the ink cartridge 22 is carried out.
