PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated sand suitable for shell molding, that has excellent fluidity and that enables a high-strength and smooth-surface casting mold to be produced. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a resin coated sand obtained by coating a spherical molding sand with a binder composition, the spherical molding sand having an average particle size of 0.02 to 1.5 mm and being produced by a flame fusion method.
