PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank on an upper deck back capable of preventing breakage even if a hull is bent. SOLUTION: A bulk carrier 1 is equipped with a hold 2 for loading bulk cargo, and an upper tank 3 keeping an angle of a heap of the bulk cargo loaded in the hold 2 becoming smaller than an angle of repose. In the upper tank 3 provided between the front and rear holds 2, a fuel tank 10 is disposed. A cofferdam 11 is provided between a fore-and-aft wall surface 3e forming the fuel tank 10 and a hatch side coaming 2C in the hold 2. When the hull is bent, the cofferdam 11 can reduce force applying on the fual tank 10 due to bending. Therefore, force adding to a joint part between an upper end of the wall 3e and the deck 3d can be reduced, so that the breakage pf the fuel tank 10 can be prevented when the hull is bent.
