PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality control method of a chip type mixture capable of properly setting the compounding ratio of water in a case that wood chips are used as a kneading material. SOLUTION: In the quality control method of the chip type mixture composed of at least water, a curable material and wood chips, the compounding ratio of water is adjusted on the basis of the estimated water retaining capacity of the wood chips during kneading operation. The estimated water retaining capacity of the wood chips during kneading operation is set to reference water content while the water content of the wood chips actually subjected to kneading operation is calculated and the compounding ratio of water is adjusted corresponding to the difference between the reference water content and the water content.
