IMAGE FORMING METHOD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method suppressing generation of image blurring or filming for a long period of time and also preventing the flaw on the surface of a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The image forming method includes: a charging step of charging a latent image carrier, a latent image forming step forming a latent image; a developing step of forming a toner image; a transfer step of transferring the toner image to a transferred material; and a cleaning step of cleaning toner remaining on the surface of the latent image carrier after the transference using a conductive brush abutting against the surface of the latent image carrier and used in the state in which a voltage is applied thereto. A cleaning means includes the first and second conductive brushes disposed along the rotational direction of the latent image carrier. The polarity of the voltage applied to the first conductive brush is reversed to that of the voltage applied to the second conductive brush.
