PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television broadcasting receiver that can shorten the time for search scanning receivable channels which is performed in the beginning stage of use. SOLUTION: Considering that signals for CATV broadcasting and ground digital retransmission are not transmitted in the same frequency in a CATV distributed transmission channel when scanning each receivable frequency, a transmission channel frequency is stored which is determined that either of the broadcasting signals is receivable.
