PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector between an H beam and a wood member, which exerts sufficient strength as a connector per se, facilitates mounting thereof, and achieves sufficient holding strength when connecting between the H beam and the wood member. SOLUTION: The connector 11 between the H beam and the wood member consists of a connector main body 12 and a U-shaped fixture 13. The connector main body 12 is formed of an H beam mounting plate portion 15 which has a U-shaped end 14 formed at one end thereof, for being attached to one end of a plane portion of the H beam, and engaging holes 16 formed therein at the other end thereof, and a wood member mounting plate portion 17 which is bent at right angles from a lateral side of the H beam mounting plate portion 15, and has screw holes 18 and/or bolt holes 19 formed therein. The U-shaped fixture 13 is attached to the other end of the plane portion of the H beam. Herein engaging pieces 25 protruded from the U-shaped fixture 13 are fitted into the engaging holes 16 formed in the H beam mounting plate portion 15, and fixed to the same.
