PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain block with an auxiliary motor which does not increase a load even when winding up at a high speed in assisting rotation force by the auxiliary motor. SOLUTION: The chain block 10, provided with a mechanism for reducing the load in hoisting a cargo by driving the auxiliary motor 21 connected to a hand wheel 17 of the chain block 10, includes a rotation force transmitting means for rotating the hand wheel 17 at a higher speed than the auxiliary motor 21 provided on a shaft for connecting the auxiliary motor 21 and the hand wheel 17 so as to wind up at the high speed without affected by the load from the auxiliary motor 21.
