PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer of a biological system which can efficiently decompose garbage. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is provided with: a disposer main body 10 having a disposer tank 20 containing a treating material; an agitating means (agitating member 25) agitating garbage and treating material contained in the disposer tank 20; a heating means (heater 41) heating the inside of the tank 20; exhausting means (fans 46, 47) exhausting air in the tank 20; first and second temperature and humidity detecting means (temperature and humidity sensors 72, 73) detecting temperatures and humidities of the treating material and atmosphere; a control means (microcomputer 75) controlling at least one of the agitation means, heating means and exhausting means based on the detected values by the temperature and humidity detecting means; and a third temperature and humidity detecting means (temperature and humidity sensor 71) detecting temperature and humidity in the disposer tank 20. The control means controls at least one of the agitating means, heating means and exhausting means based on the detected values by the first-third temperature and humidity detecting means (temperature and humidity sensors 71, 72, 73).
