Baking oven for producing products with thin walls, e.g. waffles, has two vertical transport sections (49, 50). Baking molds are continuously fed with baking plates in alternate directions to form baking plate stacks (61, 62). One of the stacks (61) has a plate feeding station (56) at its base and a removal unit (58) at its top, while the other stack (62) has the feeding station at its top and the removal unit at its base. An independent claim is included for a similar oven in which molds and back plates are fed with locking units and locked together.
