PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and convenient lint collector for a washing machine, which securely holds lint in a net and has a simple structure, and from which the lint is readily removed. SOLUTION: The lint collector for the washing machine has a lint collection bag with a double structure of an outside net portion having a bottom and an inside net portion without a bottom. The lint collector is composed of: a net bag 1 having a bottom, which has a gradually increasing diameter from an opening portion 1a and a gradually reducing diameter from a large-diameter portion 1b; an inner ring 2 provided in the net at a part corresponding to the large-diameter portion 1b; and an outer ring 3 detachably engaged to the inner ring 2 from outside the net.
