<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator, in which the blowing out of ink from a pen-point is suppressed as small as possible even against an abrupt environmental change. <P>SOLUTION: In the applicator, in which an ink vent hole is blocked when an excess pressure is applied to a rear ink housing chamber under the condition that a valve mechanism consisting of a partition having the ink vent hole acting as a valve seat and a valve body, with which the ink vent hole can be blocked, is arranged at a position partitioning an ink housing chamber for housing an ink under free state into a fore ink housing chamber on its pen-point side and the rear ink housing chamber, in an arbitrary longitudinal section of the applicator, a tangent to a partition surface within the range spreading from the opening edge to the rear ink housing chamber of the ink vent hole of the partition to the inner wall of the fore ink housing chamber is an adjacent exterior angle exceeding 90° to the inner wall surface of the fore ink housing chamber in the longitudinal section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
