<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of controlling the vertical wind direction without generating a problem on dew condensation on a vertical blade, as a clearance between an upper face of the vertical blade and a stabilizer is narrowed, when the vertical blade performing horizontal blowing becomes horizontal, thus an air supply flow rate is reduced, the outside air can be easily sucked therein, and the sucked warm outside air is cooled by the cold air, in particular, in a cooling operation. <P>SOLUTION: A main blade 6a of the vertical blade 6 has the cross-sectional shape projecting downward, thus a sufficient clearance can be secured between the stabilizer 3 and the vertical blade 6 in horizontal blowing.
