PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink unit which can be readily attached to an apparatus while readily unwrapping wrapping with no adhesion of an ink ribbon to hands. SOLUTION: A protective sheet 4 is provided. The protective sheet has a length that it can be wound around the outermost peripheral surface of the ink ribbon 1 wound around a feeding core 2 and the outer periphery of a winding core 3, wherein both of them are in close contact with each other, so that the axes of the feeding core 2 and the winding core 3 are in parallel. A protective sheet 4 forms tensile portions 4A and 4B at the center in the width direction of both ends. The peripheral surface of the winding core 3 and an adhesive portion 4C (first adhesive portion) are adhered to each other.
