PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stairs for framework scaffolds which can be stacked and packed in a minimum space in a stable state. SOLUTION: Treads 2 are mounted in a horizontal attitude at regular intervals between a pair of right and left side frames 1 and 1, which is to be arranged in a tilted state, in such a way that both right and left faces 2a and 2a of each tread 2 may be in contact with the inside surfaces of both side frames 1 and 1 and that front- and back-side end parts 2b and 2c of each tread 2 may be protruded forward and backward from the side frames 1. End-part caps 3 and 4 are attached to an upper end part and a lower end part of each side frame 1, and hooks 5 and 6 for latching are mounted to the upper end part and the lower end part in the stairs K1 for framework scaffolds. Each end-part cap 4 on the lower end side is formed in such a way as to envelope the lower end part of the side frame 1. A tread front-end reception part 9 is formed on the back end side of an inside surface cover part 4Wa covering the inside surface Wa of the lower end part of the side frame 1 in such a way that the front end part 2b of the tread 2 on the lowest end side of the stairs K1 on the side of lower stairs may not interfere with the end-part cap 4 of the end part cap 4 of the stairs K1 on the side of upper stair when the stairs K1 are vertically arranged on one another with the end-part caps 4 are vertically aligned.
