<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a payment method and a payment relay server, enabling a receiver company to further rapidly and further surely grasp a price payment while providing high convenience to a user. <P>SOLUTION: In the payment relay server 20, a generated multi-payment identifier is associated with bar code data and recorded in an identifier conversion data storage part 24, and the multi-payment identifier is transmitted to a bank host system 30. The bank host system 30 performs debiting to the account of a user completed in user authentication, and transmits a completion report to the payment relay server 20 through a portable terminal 10.
