The connecting link (10) consists of two C-section high quality non-rusting steel profiles back-to-back to form an I-section. Layers of resilient material (13,14) are adhered to the top and bottom (11,12) surfaces. The inner surfaces (15,16) of the C-sections are devoid of resilient material. The ends of the connecting link are plugged into matching sockets (20) with H-shaped openings (21).
