PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantly and accurately grasp a change in weight of grain in an immersion process by supporting the body of an immersion device as tare by a weighing device and controlling the weight of grain discharged from the immersion device on the basis of set value by both weight of grain after draining immersion water and weight of used grain. SOLUTION: Immersion water whose temperature is controlled by a temperature control device 10 is supplied till a set weight into a tank 1 into which grain treated in a washing process is introduced. At this time, coefficient of water absorption differs in the upper part and the lower part of the accumulation layer 14 of grain by difference of immersion temperature and water absorption of grain is made nonuniform. Therein, immersion water 15 is sucked from a pipeline of the upper part of the tank 1 by a pump and supplied from the lower part of a ventilation damper 4 to the accumulation layer 14 of grain. After immersion is finished, immersion water 15 is drained out. This drainage and dewatering are finished and thereafter weight of grain in the tank 1 is weighed by a load cell 3 and the coefficient of water absorption is calculated from the following formula, indicated and recorded.
