PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely manage a transport state of an article in detail. SOLUTION: An IC tag to which information on a container is inputted, is attached to the container. An ETC on-vehicle unit to which information on a transport vehicle is inputted, is mounted on the transport vehicle for carrying the container. Read information is transmitted to an article managing device 10, by reading the information on the transport vehicle passing through an ETC antenna, by arranging an IC tag reader for reading the information on the IC tag and the ETC antenna for reading the information on the ETC on-vehicle unit on at least one managing relay point P1 to Pn arranged in a transport passage of the transport vehicle. Thus, the article managing device 10 accurately manages the transport state of the container by unitarily managing by associating the container with the transport vehicle loaded with this container.
