<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device having high display quality by securing flatness of the surface of a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device 100 includes: a pair of substrates 110, 120; electrooptical material 131 arranged between the substrates; and a color filter which is disposed on one side of the substrate 110 and has an array structure of colored layers 111R, 111B, 111G of a plurality of colors, wherein a display region 100A is formed by arranging, in a planar manner, a plurality of pixels P which respectively include either one of the colored layers of the plurality of colors. On one side of the substrate, the colored layer of either one color among the colored layers of the plurality of colors are formed on a region other than the pixel together with the pixel corresponding to the colored layer, and the colored layer of the one color constitutes a light-shielding layer by a single layer on the region of the outer side than the display region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
