PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the plasma wave strength is reduced by the fact that plasma waves are out of phase with each other. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic wave generating device comprises a semiconductor substrate 5, a plurality of nano-wire-shaped semiconductor layers 4, an insulating film 6, a plurality of gate electrodes 1 whose gate length is made equal to 1/4 of the plasma wave period, a plurality of drain electrodes 3 corresponding to the plurality of nano-wires, and a source electrode 2. The plurality of drain electrodes are electromagnetically coupled to each other by injection synchronization to suppress the canceling due to antiphase, so that the strength of the plasma wave is multiplied by the number of nano-wires.
