<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the immediate recovery of a link failure without causing the reduction in network utilization efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: When a link failure is detected, a failure detection relay node device 250 confirms the resource required for recovery of a path for recovery by using a recovery necessary condition confirmation means 253, and confirms the resource of a normal link which is linked to a contiguous relay node device 210 by using a resource confirmation means 254. Further, recovery proposal information is generated so as to recover a target path and then transmitted to the contiguous relay node device 210. Subsequently, when recovery consent information is received from the contiguous relay node device 210, the target path recovery is carried out by a link recovery means 258.
