PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device whose mounting density of drives can be increased. SOLUTION: In a disk unit 80 having a casing 2, disk arrays 84, 85 with a drive array of four layers in height direction z formed by aligning four drives in a depth direction y of the casing 2 and a wiring board 83 of the drive array, the disk arrays 84, 85 are provided at a predetermined interval in the height direction z and a width direction x of the casing 2. The wiring board 83 is provided between the adjoining two disk arrays 84, 85 arranged in the width direction x of the casing 2 in a manner that the board surface of the wiring board 83 is vertical to a disk rotation face. Both the surfaces of the wiring board 83 respectively have disk drive connection surfaces and a draw-out part 81 for drawing out the wiring board 83 and the disk arrays 84, 85 provided on both sides of the wiring board 83 as one from the casing 2.
