<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of a display image in an EVF (Electronic View Finder) using a transmission type liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: A lens 40 is arranged opposite a surface of the LCD panel 10 with a designated focal length. A light source 100 is arranged on the rear surface side of the LCD. A 1st polarizer 20 and a 2nd polarizer 30 are bonded to the top and reverse surfaces of the LCD panel 10 respectively. The 1st polarizer 20 has a resin layer of designated thickness laminated to have such a thickness that a surface of the 1st polarizer 20 is not within a range of depth of field of the lens 40. Consequently, even if a foreign matter 51 exists on the surface of the 1st polarizer or in the 1st polarizer nearby the surface, it is not enlarged by the lens 40. A damage part 52 on the surface of the LCD panel 10 is filled with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the 1st polarizer 20, so it is not viewed by an observer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
