<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose installation area can be reduced, and, which can be installed close to the wall surface in a room. <P>SOLUTION: A paper P is transported on a transport path from one wall part 2a of a square-box type image forming apparatus body 2 to the other wall part 2b, the paper P reversed by a reversed discharge paper transport path 28 near the other wall part 2b is discharged to a discharge part arranged in the upper wall part 2c, and also, the reversed discharge paper transporting path 28 forms the other wall part 2b positioned near the path 28 into the inclined shape so that the upper wall part 2c side bulge and the bottom wall part 2d side is recessed; consequently, the area of the bottom wall part 2d is made smaller than the area of the upper wall part 2c, then, in the case of installing the image forming apparatus 1 on a desk, the installation area of the apparatus 1 is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
