PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master batch for a polyolefin resin showing a good hydrolysis resistance. SOLUTION: The master batch contains 100 pts.wt. polyolefin resin, 1.5-100 pts.wt. (A) antioxidant of formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>and R<SP>5</SP>are each hydrogen, an alkyl or an aralkyl; R<SP>3</SP>is hydrogen or an alkyl; X is a single bond or the like; R<SP>6</SP>is hydrogen or an alkyl; A is an alkylene; either Y or Z is hydroxy or an alkoxy and the other is hydrogen or an alkyl, provided that when Y is hydroxy, either R<SP>4</SP>or R<SP>5</SP>is an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, an aralkyl or phenyl) and 0.01-1 pt.wt. of either (B) a hydrotalcite compound or (C) a group II metal salt of a higher fatty acid.
