PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver for enabling program information, responding to each program to be recorded in a program information recording area, even if a plurality of programs exist within the recording time period, when recording to a digital recording device. SOLUTION: The receiver comprises program information acquiring means for acquiring the program information of a program being received by a selected channel; program change detecting means for detecting program change among the plurality of programs, when recording a plurality of consecutive programs into the digital recording device; recording program information setting means for newly acquiring the program information of the changed program, and for producing new program information, after combining a character string of the program information and a character string of newly acquired program information; and digital interface signal converting means for producing record control digital interface data for making the program information recorded into the program information recording area of the digital recording device, and for transmitting to the digital recording device.
