PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake system structure for an engine improving workability in welding of a second case of an air cleaner case and a resonator case, providing the air cleaner case on an upper surface of the engine while securing sufficient space for pedestrian protection, and providing a resonator case without separating the same from a surge tank. SOLUTION: In the intake system structure for the engine, a first case and a second case of the air cleaner case are divided in a vehicle left and right direction, at least a mating surface part of the first case and the second case is provided above a transmission in a side of the engine, a filter is provided on the mating surface part of the first case and the second case, an expansion part formed continuously to a bulging part of the second case side, and a flange part provided on a side surface of the expansion part opposing to the mating surface part and a flange part provided on a resonator case constructing the resonator are welded.
