PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that improves the S/N ratio of a bright part of an image and enhances the resolution of moving image display for a dark image part. SOLUTION: The processing unit 2 is provided with a buffer memory 4 that stores a digital electric signal obtained by a measurement section 1 tentatively as image data, a subtractor 5 that calculates a difference between old data being image data at a preceding time and new data being image data at present, a table memory changeover circuit 6 that selects a table function depending on the old data, a table memory 7 that stores various table functions, and an adder 8 that adds data of the table function to the old data. The unit uses the table memory changeover circuit 6 to decrease an inclination of a conversion coefficient for a block of a bright image and to increase the inclination of the conversion coefficient for a block of a dark image depending on the old data, that is, the brightness of the image. |
