PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information search device and an information search program capable of allowing a user to implement similarity searching of contents reflecting on user's preference while precluding burden on the user. SOLUTION: This information search device has a content storing means for storing a plurality of contents, a feature quantity storing means for storing multidimensional feature quantity corresponding to the contents, a use history storing means for storing user's use history, a distance calculation means for calculating a distance and/or similarity among the plurality of contents on the basis of multidimensional feature quantity, and setting its calculation parameter on the basis of the use history stored in the use history storing means, and a selecting means for selecting the contents desired by the user from the plurality of contents on the basis of the distance and/or similarity among the contents calculated by the distance calculation means.
