PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shared memory device that can prevent performance degradation due to area extension and routing distance extension and can improve the expansion of system scalability by simplifying routing to memories. SOLUTION: Memory systems 11-1 to 11-n each include a memory macro 12, such as a DRAM or SRAM, for storing data, a processor 13 for accessing the memory macro 12 to execute predetermined data processing, and a memory control unit 14 for establishing the exchange of information (data, commands and addresses) between the processor 12 and the memory macro 11 in the associated stage and establishing the exchange of information (only commands and addresses) with memory control units of different memory systems. The memory macro 12 comprises a memory interface 15 capable of data transfer, and the memory interfaces of the memory macros of different memory systems are interconnected.
