PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone resin composition producing a release agent which is excellent in reliability, heat resistance and resistance to the solvent. SOLUTION: A release sheet produced using the above-noted silicone resin composition comprises [1] a resin composition for a release agent comprising a ladder type polysilsesquioxane which has in the side chain thereof at least one group selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group having a carbon number of 2 to 24, a fluorinated alkyl group having a carbon number of 2 to 24, and a cycloalkyl group having a carbon number of 5 to 24; [2] the resin composition for a release agent of the above [1] in which the ladder type polysilsesquioxane contains a reactive functional group; [3] a substrate; and a release agent layer disposed on at least one surface of the substrate and produced by curing the resin composition for a release agent of the above [1] or [2].
