PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary type electric razor with a sharp blade. SOLUTION: The electric razor comprises an outer blade frame 18 mounted on a body 10, an outer blade 14 supported to the outer blade frame 18, having annular thin layers 28a and 28b whose upper surfaces are shaving faces, and an inner blade 16 with a blade body 38 rotating while sliding in contact with the lower surfaces of the thin layers of the outer blade for cutting hair inserted into hair insertion holes 30a and 30b formed in the thin layers. The hair insertion holes 30a and 30b are slit-shaped crossing the thin layers 28a and 28b nearly in the radial direction, and the edge angles p and q on side wall surfaces of the hair insertion holes 30a and 30b in the direction of rotation of the inner blade on a vertical section orthogonally crossing the longitudinal direction of the hair insertion holes 30a and 30b are acute angles.
