<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical performance information retrieving system retrieving/selecting performance information suitable for user's desire easily and quickly from various performance information. <P>SOLUTION: Two or more musical performance information (style information) are stored in a performance information storage means DBS; two or more records constituted of two or more item information (title of a musical composition, category, time, tempo, and the like) are stored in a record storage means DBR; and one record is made to correspond to a piece of performance information. Retrieval condition holding means FF, BF!, BF2 for holding desired retrieval conditions are prepared. When retrieval starts, a record corresponding to a retrieval condition held by any of the holding means is retrieved, and the retrieved record is held by list holding means LSF, LS1, LS2 and displayed.
