<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for automatically maintaining consignment guarantee money which can maintain consignment guarantee money in margin trading or future and option transactions at a specified level by setting upper and lower bounds for balances. <P>SOLUTION: In the system for automatically maintaining consignment guarantee money, an application server 11 starts deposit property evaluation programs after transaction time is finished for every business day to execute mark processing to market, and calculates the maintaining rate of consignment guarantee money using margin trading management programs for customers who have margin trading accounts. One part of basic transaction information to be acquired from a customer order database 13 includes the existence of maintaining contracts to maintain consignment guarantee money at a specified level and maintaining conditions. If there is a maintaining contract, the surplus or shortage for consignment guarantee money is calculated according to maintaining conditions.
