TRANSMISSION RATE CONTROL METHOD AND MOBILE STATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method whereby a mobile station performing soft handover increases a transmission rate of uplink user data.

SOLUTION: A transmission rate control method is disclosed herein, whereby the mobile station increases the transmission rate of the uplink user data up to a maximum permissible transmission rate. The transmission rate control method includes: a step where the mobile station receives an acknowledgement signal with respect to the uplink user data from a serving cell; and a step where the mobile station increases the transmission rate of the uplink user data to be transmitted at a prescribed point of time on the basis of a transmission data block size of the uplink user data the acknowledgement signal of which the mobile station receives.
