The canopy has an inner sun-shade (4) situated under a rigid outer cover (2) in order to be protected by the rigid cover from stressful weather conditions. The cover is made of a plastic material such as polymethyl methacrylate, and is mounted on rigid supports made of aluminum sections. The cover serves as an ultraviolet absorbing filter. The sun-shade is made of a sheet metal inserted in a reversible manner within lateral supports.
