PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for automatically transferring digital images from an electronic device such as a digital camera or the like to a storage medium such as a digital video disc or the like. SOLUTION: There are provided embodiments where a set of digital images are transferred from the electronic device 102 to the storage medium 111. In one embodiment, the method comprises a step 202 of detecting the presence of the electronic device; a step 204 of automatically searching for a set that includes at least one digital image for transfer from the electronic device to a removable storage medium, when the electronic device is detected; a step 206 of analyzing the set; a step 210 of adjusting the set based on the analysis of the set; and a step 214 of storing the set on the removable storage medium.
