PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal with camera and a portable telephone set with camera which change a photographing direction with an easy operation and enable a user to take a picture while checking an image to be photographed. SOLUTION: The potable telephone set 1 for imaging by irradiating a CCD 20 with light rays from the outside via a lens 19 switches a position of the lens 19 to a position where the light from a subject 23 is reflected, and a position where the light from the subject 24 is reflected by rotating a rotary knob, and has a mirror 18 reflecting the light. By switching the position of the mirror 18, the optical path of the light from the outside is switched, so that the direction of taking the picture is changed to the case the image is photographed on the basis of light from the subject 23, and to the case the image is photographed based on the light from the subject 24 reflected by the mirror 18.
