PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Z-shaped bevel for solving a problem of a weld joint of a thick plate section of a steel plate or the like. SOLUTION: The Z-shaped bevel has stepped faces not passing the entire section from the face side to the back side, and a face parallel to the surface connecting the stepped faces which are used in welding.
