<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag and a non-inflatable curtain for being mounted on a side surface of a vehicle so as to protect an occupant from being injured on the head and to wrap him/her around in case of a rollover accident of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An airbag apparatus 10 includes the airbag 24 and the non-inflatable curtain 26 mounted on the side surface of the vehicle. The non-inflatable curtain can be actuated by inflator gas supplied by an airbag inflator 12, and can be placed on the upper side of the airbag before an airbag deploys.
