PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray irradiation device that can be downsized, is excellent in handling, has low cost and is practical, and to provide manufacturing equipment for an optical apparatus having the ultraviolet ray irradiation device, and a projector. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet ray irradiation device 5 includes: an ultraviolet ray emitting element 51 that emits a luminous flux of an ultraviolet area, a condensing element 52 disposed on the luminous flux emission side of the ultraviolet ray emitting element 51 and condensing a luminous flux; and a metal fixing member 53 capable of accommodating and fixing the ultraviolet ray emitting element 51 and the condensing element 52 in it. The ultraviolet ray emitting element 51 and the fixing member 53 are connected such that heat can be transferred. The manufacturing equipment for the optical apparatus that has the ultraviolet ray irradiation device 5 makes it possible to securely irradiate an optical component to be joined and fixed with ultraviolet rays. The manufacturing equipment also makes it possible to firmly join and fix the optical component adjusted in position and the housing for the optical component.
