PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to carry out any preliminary survey on some geologic formation for the purpose of short-term characteristic evaluation of the utility of permanently installed measuring equipment, especially to enable an evaluation of the characteristics of fractured zone formation by pressing fit fluid into there. SOLUTION: This invention is related to an independent type measuring and signal processing probe to go down through a pit tube and is temporarily installed on pit bottoms. This probe is provided with releasable fixing means (3, 4) with a function to install the probe in a pit casing at the pit bottom, a pair of sensors including at least an earthquake sensor, recording means, data processing means to process measurement data obtained by the sensors, and a central body (1) through which an open passage (2) is formed to the full length of pit to allow the free pass of the probe through the passage (2).
