PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle which is capable of simplifying the assembly and the mounting, and reducing the cost, suitable for the use as a long seat for a railroad vehicle, and excellent in mass productivity. SOLUTION: The seat for the vehicle has an assembly type underframe 2 comprising L-shaped brackets 3, 4 arranged with a predetermined spacing therebetween, a connection shaft 5 which is passed through shaft holes 11 formed in front ends of forward expansion parts 3a, 4a of each bracket, upper ends of rear riser parts 3b, 4b, and lower portions of the rear riser parts 3b, 4b, respectively, and attachably/detachably fixed to the brackets 3, 4 by a locking member 6, and hanging pieces 7, 8 which are attachably/detachably locked to receiving pieces provided on a wall face of a seat installation part to hang the brackets 3, 4 from the wall face.
