<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a memory card slot preventing one kind of inserted card from breaking a contact piece of another kind of card when inserting one kind of card, in the memory card slot allowing installation of a plurality of kinds of memory cards. <P>SOLUTION: This memory card slot allowing the installation of the plurality of kinds of memory cards has: contact pieces contacting with one memory card, arranged side by side along a slot inner wall face; and a protection plate positioned such that it covers the rear faces of the contact pieces, and made of an insulation material interposed between another memory card and the contact pieces. Thereby, even if being likely to come into contact with the contact piece except the contact piece for its own memory card when inserting/detaching the memory card into/from the memory card, the memory card does not break the contact piece of the other kind of card even if the memory card shakes because the protection plate is interposed between them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
