The invention relates to a motor system for a vehicle, wherein motors (16ML, 16MR) are disposed in an unsprung part of the vehicle with reference to a suspension. Drive circuits (40L, 40R) using a rectangular-wave to drive the motors (16ML, 16MR) are disposed in the unsprung part. Voltage control circuits using a control voltage supplied from a battery B to the drive circuits (40L, 40R) are disposed in the sprung part of the vehicle (1) with reference to the suspension. The motors (16ML, 16MR) are three-phase synchronous motors.
