PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can record an image not only on a recorded medium which can be transferred on a transfer route but also on a recorded medium, the transfer of which the transfer route is not easy. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device comprises; a recording paper storage portion 3 to hold recording papers P and feed to a transfer route 5; an inkjet recording head 6 to record an image by discharging ink droplets to the recording paper P transferred on the transfer route 5 and by being made to scan in a main scanning direction; and a platen 11 arranged oppositely to the inkjet recording head 6 and supporting the recording paper P on which an image is recorded, wherein a recording unit 1A having the inkjet recording head 6 and a platen unit 1B having the platen 11 are split so as to enable the inkjet recording head 6 to discharge ink droplets outwardly of the recording unit 1A and scan.
