PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shield filter for display which has thin lines that are formed into a meshy pattern so as to ensure conductivity and light transmittance, and that are hardly break and easily manufactured. SOLUTION: At least a conductive mesh layer 2 having a mesh 2A of a mesh pattern in a plan view is formed on a transparent base material 1 to form the electromagnetic wave shield filter 10 for display. The mesh pattern of the mesh layer 2 is formed in such a way that a line width W is 50 to 100μm, and a line pitch P is 500 to 1,000μm, and the mesh size is determined as a diagonal dimension L of 800 mm or larger. The line width W is relatively large, but the diagonal dimension L is 800 mm or larger. Accordingly, the size gives a mesh part for use in a relatively large display. The lines are, therefore, not so conspicuous when they are seen from a ceratin distant place for watching the display. If the mesh layer 2 on the transparent base material 1 is covered with a colored filter layer at the display observer side, the lines become preferably less conspicuous. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
