PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication terminal having a message recording function and capable of transmitting/receiving an e-mail in which message recording data and a moving video attached to an e-mail can be reproduced continuously when reproduction of a recorded message is designated. SOLUTION: The communication terminal has a line control section, an answering machine control section, an e-mail transmitting/receiving section and a moving video reproducing section. The answering machine control section acquires message recording data, the e-mail transmitting/receiving section receives an e-mail, and when reproduction of a recorded message is designed, an attached moving video is detected by checking the header of the e-mail and then the message recording data and the moving video are reproduced continuously.
