PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multibeam-type image forming device having a comparatively small circuit scale in an LUT section. SOLUTION: A composite machine 1, which forms a latent image by scanning on a photoreceptor drum 21 by a plurality of light beams, is provided with an LUT circuit 13 which converts the bit map data of images to the information of the pulse width and the pulse position which are preliminarily corresponded to each data of a preliminarily fixed constitution unit constituting the bit map data and corresponding to the output of the light beams, and with PWM circuits 14, 15 having the same number of the light beams which generate pulse corresponding to the output of the light beams. The LUT circuit 13 is provided with only one LUT which stores each data constituting the bit map data and the information of the pulse width and the pulse position which are preliminarily corresponded to each data and generate the light beams.
